Jon Rahm delivers a spectacular performance on Friday, and Odyssey is the #1 Putter at the Ryder Cup. Check out our biggest stories from today at Marco Simone.

Jon Rahm WITB: Ryder Cup

Jon Rahm won the opening match of the Ryder Cup 4&3 during the morning Foursomes session. Then in the afternoon Four-Ball session he eagled 2 of the final 3 holes, including a clutch eagle putt on 18, to earn a tie along with his playing partner and fellow Callaway staffer Nicolai Højgaard. Here’s the equipment that Jon used to earn 1 1/2 points today:

  • Paradym Triple Diamond Driver (10.5°) – Aldila Tour Green 75TX Shaft
  • Paradym Triple Diamond Fairway Wood (16°) – Graphite Design Tour AD DI 8X Shaft
  • Paradym Triple Diamond Fairway Wood (18°) – Graphite Design Tour AD DI 8X Shaft
  • Apex Pro 24 (4-iron) – Project X 6.5 Shaft
  • Apex TCB Irons (5-PW) – Project X 6.5 Shafts
  • Jaws Raw Wedges (52°, 56°, 60°) – Project X 6.5 Shafts
  • New Odyssey Prototype Putter
  • A Chrome Soft X Ball

Rahm won his first PGA TOUR event with Paradym in the bag in January, carding a final round 63 to capture The Sentry Tournament of Champions. He followed that up with a win in his next event at The American Express, plus a victory in February at the Genesis Open, and winning at Augusta in April. Paradym continues to be the #1 selling driver this year, per Golf Datatech.

Jon recently put a new Apex Pro 4-iron in the bag, specifically because it launches higher for him while keeping all other performance characteristics the same as his previous Apex TCB 4-iron. Callaway is the #1 selling iron brand this year, per Golf Datatech.

Rahm also put on a remarkable display around the green, holing out three times on the day with his Jaws Raw Wedges and Chrome Soft X Golf Ball. And his eagle putt on 18 was one of the most important shots of the day.
