The purpose of the volunteer event with the Boys and Girls Club of Greater San Diego was to provide its youth members all the necessities to start the school year off right. Thanks to BGC partners the youth are gifted a fully stuffed backpack that contains notebooks, binders, pens, pencils, glue sticks, scissors, crayon and more! We kicked off the event by hosting an Amazon Wish List donation drive for BGC of Greater San Diego’s Back-2-School event and had 33 volunteers donate. Then on Wednesday June 28th, during lunch, we had a total of 16 volunteers help assemble backpacks to drop off at the BGC Greater San Diego location. We set a goal to provide BGC 30 fully packed backpacks and through the generous donations of our Callaway volunteers we were able to give the organization 40 fully packed backpacks with other misc. supplies to fill more!
